Pingry visits Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu has been voted one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World.” Despite the hype and crowds that accompany such a designation, the beautiful, historic, and spiritual site did not disappoint.

I hope to post a student reflection on the experience tomorrow. Until then, here are a few photos of the wonderful day.

View of Mt Veronica (19,000+ ft) from the train.
Keki merrily navigating the trinket market that stands in between the train station and the bus up to Machu Picchu
You’ve seen this before in magazines, but it is still breathtaking in person.
Our WLS instructor Johan giving us background on the site. Bao in awesome llama hat.

Can you find the chinchilla?
